40 by 40 – Day 0

140 days ago i started a little project called “40 by 40″. The goal was to lose 40 pounds by my 40th birthday.

140 days ago I weighed in at 265.

Since then, I have had to buy a new belt. Even with the new belt most of my pants still barely stay on. My “slut jeans” (as my sister likes to call them) are not near as tight today as they were nearly a day ago and you can also see my collection of belt buckles I have started when I wear them.

Since then, I am not nearly as tired as I remember being. Granted, that didnt change that I am not a morning person still. My bowling has gotten better and I have worked my way to being able to walk about 5 miles fairly easy (and in about an hours time).

Since then people have noticed the change.

Since 140 days ago I have dropped 31 pounds to weigh 234 as of this morning.

Not a complete success since I didnt make my goal, but I am not exactly considering this an epic failure either.

Now to lose 11 pounds by 6:00 am 5/23/11.
